Rester appoints Joachim Colliander as CEO with aim to scale operations
Rester Oy has appointed Joachim Colliander (MSc) as CEO starting February 19th 2024.
Joachim joins the company with a strong background in expansion strategy and
commercialization. In his current role as Vice President Sales Strategy & Business
Execution at Finnish-Swedish forest industry giant Stora Enso Joachim has been deeply
engaged in launching and commercializing new products and innovations. Previously,
Joachim was heading the company´s biofuels business, building its platform for growth inEurope including the launch of two new mills.

development”, says Rester’s founder Outi Luukko, as she transitions to an advisory role
within the company from her current position as CEO. “We have built a strong foundation for Rester and the company is now ready to take major leaps in accelerating operations and international expansion. Joachim is the perfect fit for this role as he has worked with many emerging businesses as well as successfully scaling existing businesses, developing new products and driving several go-to-market initiatives. This is exactly what Rester needs at this stage.”

Rester Oy refines textiles mechanically to new textile fibres, which can be used by a great diversity of sectors from the textile industry to technical nonwoven materials to replace virgin raw material. Rester’s customer base consists both of businesses that supply end-of-life textiles and businesses that use recycled Rester fiber for their products.
