Rester appoints new CEO

Rester Oy has appointed Jukka Pesola as CEO starting August 15th, 2025.

Rester is a forerunner in circular textiles having consistent ambition to build strong, viable and resource wise future. We are proud to announce that Jukka Pesola will start as a new company CEO to lead Rester towards these significant targets. Jukka has had a long international career within the textile branch, and he has been one of the true pioneers towards a sustainable textile industry, being a founding member & CEO of Pure Waste Textiles among others. His versatile know how and experience in textile form a base and competence to see the changes needed in the field – and even more importantly to cherish the values and business opportunities on this journey.

The former CEO Joachim Colliander has decided to step aside from his position after having successfully taken the company through its second funding round while introducing a shift in strategy.

“After thorough consideration during the past few months, I have taken the decision to step aside from my role as Rester´s CEO and leave room for new leadership to guide the company through its next exciting phase, focusing on development of high potential industrial applications according to our new strategy.

I am proud of the significant milestones we achieved as a team during the past 1,5 years, and at the same time thrilled that Jukka as a true industry expert has agreed to take on my role as of August 15th”, says Joachim.
