Rester joins the MaxComp project

MaxComp is building a new value chain for high-performance fibre-based composites.

Led by VTT, the Business Finland co-innovation project brings together technology, chemistry, machinery, manufacturing and end-use applications to develop composite materials with lower environmental impact.

For Rester, the project is especially relevant because it explores how recycled textile fibres can be used in demanding industrial applications, from construction and vehicles to furniture, packaging and defence-related use cases.

The goal is concrete: to optimise cost, performance and scalability of foam-formed composites, and to demonstrate the materials in industrial applications.

We see MaxComp as a highly promising opportunity to turn recycled textile fibres into higher-value material solutions, while strengthening local and European circular material value chains.
